Tournament Format
1.All divisions will play 3 x 15-minute periods running time with a 1-minute warm up.
NOTE – No Players are allowed on the ice during the ice resurfacing.
2. During round robin play, the point system is as follows -
- 2 points for a regulation win
- 1 point for a tie
- 0 points for a regulation loss
3. Round Robin - When the end of game is tied will be finished and both teams get 1 point
4. Semi & Final Game: If the game is tied at the end of regulation, a 3-minute overtime will be played. Teams will play 3 on 3. If no goal is scored, Game Winning Shots will determine the winner. If the result is a tie again, a penalty shootout will be taken with the score being 1 to 1.
5. Game Winning Shots procedure is as follows -
- The Home team will have the choice to shoot first or second.
- Goaltenders will defend the goal on their team’s bench side.
- Each team will have 3 shots. If still tied after 3 shots, the order will reverse and single
shots will determine the winner (A-B A-B A-B; B-A B-A B-A)
- The first three shots must be taken by 3 different players. A team may use any player or
the same player after the first 3 shots is taken.
6. Tie Breaking procedure- If two teams or more are tied in total points at the end of the Round Robin games, the final standings will be determined by –
- Most Point Wins.
- If 3 or more teams result in points tie, Sub-group will be formed (mini league), and positioning will be determined within. If result still tied, next best team will be added for determination.
- Most Regulation Wins
- Head-to-head record
- Higher Goal Difference
- Least Goals against
7. If stats are wrong only coach can challenge within 1 hr. after that stats can't be changed, Coach must sign score sheet after games.
8. All players MUST wear a neck guard and have a full cage or full-face shield. Any players without this equipment will not be allowed to play. Mouth guards are not mandatory but highly recommended.
9. Any player, coach or team official who receives a 10-minute misconduct for Abuse of Officials in the final 5 minutes of the 3rd period, overtime, shootout or after the game, will be suspended for their next game, upon the review of the Referee Supervisor.
10. Any major penalties may result in the player receiving an automatic game suspension for their next game, upon the review of the Referee Supervisor.
11. Fighting is an automatic ejection from the tournament. The referees and Referee Supervisor will determine what constitutes fighting.
12. All Match penalties will be reviewed and further suspensions will be handed out by the Referee Supervisor and the Tournament Director.
Participant Code of Conduct
13. Any physical, verbal abuse, or any racial slurs both on and off the ice, will result in a ban for life from the tournament.
14. Anyone found intimidating, threatening or disturbing other players, parents, team officials or anyone else associated with the tournament will be asked to leave the rink area or mall and the authorities may be called.
15.Anyone who negligently damages any property while at the rink or mall will be held responsible. For example, if a player slams his/her stick on the glass and breaks it will be held responsible.
